I’m not a huge fan of the Robert Zemeckis’ motion-capture technology, which he invented with The Polar Express and then used again in Beowulf. I think the human characters still look weird, synthetic versions of the real actors playing them. However, I have to admit the technology might work with A Christmas Carol, especially in capturing Jim Carrey’s elastic face. He’s playing all sorts of characters in the story, from all the Ghosts to Ebenezer Scrooge at different ages. Here’s the latest trailer:
Yeah, I think this kind of thing is right up Carrey’s alley.
