Here you go … this is the real trailer to Avatar. Is it a visual eye-candy store that will change the look of film forever? Or is it just another cool looking trailer to an otherworldly story? I’m voting for latter, agreeing with Cinematical‘s assessment.
I think James Cameron is shooting himself in the foot by claiming this film is the second coming in digital filmmaking. Everyone should just calm down and accept it for what it is: another kick-ass special-effects driven movie about an alien planet. Don’t get me wrong. When Avator opens Dec. 18, I’ll be there with bells on. I just think all this uneccessary build-up is only going to back fire when it doesn’t live up to the extraordinary hype.
