These days, it seems you just create a post-apocalyptic scenario and watch the action unfold. Is it me or are end-of-the-world movies on the rise? Do these people know something we don’t? I mean, first we had Terminator: Salvation, and now we’ve got 2012, The Road — and Denzel Washington in The Book of Eli, in which he plays a lone survivor in a world gone bye-bye, who must protect a book that is the key to saving mankind (“How to Serve Man … it’s a cookbook!”).
